She lost one eye
to brain cancer.

Her name is Arlett. She's 12 years old. And she's one of the bravest people you'll ever hear about.

Earlier this year, an aggressive brain tumor stole the sight in her left eye. Her family was devastated. Arlett was not.

She picked up her brushes. She set up her canvases on the sidewalk. And she kept painting — because that's all she knows how to do when things get hard.

Now doctors are warning that without emergency eye surgery, she will lose her remaining sight — permanently. Doctors say the window to save her remaining vision is closing — within weeks, it may be too late.

Her family is doing everything they can. They sell her paintings on the sidewalk, make calls, reach out to anyone who will listen. But between medical bills, specialist visits, and just keeping food on the table — they've hit a wall.

She said that to her mother last week. Not dramatically. Just matter-of-factly, the way kids do when they're too brave for their own good.

This campaign was started by Isaiah Garza, founder of Miracles for Humanity Foundation, after meeting Arlett and her family on the street where she was selling her paintings.
